Its prime location offers stunning views of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan.The Tribune Tower was completed in 1925 and served as the headquarters of the Chicago Tribune newspaper until 2018. It was built as a result of a design competition held by the newspaper to construct a new headquarters building. The winning design, by architects John Mead Howells and Raymond Hood, combined Gothic Revival and Art Deco architectural styles.The Tribune Tower is known for its distinctive design, characterized by its neo-Gothic facade adorned with ornate details and flying buttresses. The building rises 36 stories and reaches a height of 462 feet (141 meters). One of its most notable features is the collection of over 150 fragments of famous buildings and landmarks from around the world embedded in its exterior walls, including pieces from the Great Wall of China, the Parthenon, and the Taj Mahal.
