It also had rows of large, bony knobs along its sides. The most famous feature of Ankylosaurus is its tail club, a large, bony mass at the end of its tail that could be used as a weapon. Ankylosaurus was a large dinosaur, with an estimated length of up to 30 feet (9 meters) and a weight of around 4-6 tons. Like other ankylosaurids, it was a herbivore, primarily feeding on low-lying plants and vegetation. Ankylosaurus is thought to have been a slow-moving, quadrupedal dinosaur. Its heavily armored body would have made it a less attractive target for predators.
