Koroks are small, wooden creatures with leaf-like features. They have small bodies with twig-like arms and legs, leafy heads, and large, expressive eyes. Each Korok has a unique appearance, but they all share a nature-themed design reminiscent of forest spirits. In “The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker,” the Koroks are revealed to be the evolved forms of the Kokiri, a race of forest-dwelling children from previous “Legend of Zelda” games. The Kokiri transformed into Koroks to adapt to the flooding of Hyrule and the transformation of the Great Sea. The Koroks live primarily on the Forest Haven, an island located in the Great Sea. They are closely connected to nature and serve as caretakers of the forests and islands in their domain.
