The T28 featured a main armament of a 105mm T5E1 gun, which was mounted in a fixed position in the hull. It also had a secondary armament of .50 caliber machine guns. The tank had extremely thick frontal armor, measuring 305mm (12 inches) in thickness, providing it with excellent protection against enemy fire. The sides and rear of the tank had thinner armor. The T28 Heavy Tank was powered by a gasoline engine and had a top speed of around 8 mph (13 km/h). Due to its massive weight, it often faced challenges in terms of mobility, and its maneuverability was limited.
