The tank had extremely thick frontal armor, measuring 305mm (12 inches) in thickness, providing it with excellent protection against enemy fire. The sides and rear of the tank had thinner armor. The T28 Heavy Tank was powered by a gasoline engine and had a top speed of around 8 mph (13 km/h). Due to its massive weight, it often faced challenges in terms of mobility, and its maneuverability was limited.
